And if I were to turn to either sides it still is a discomfort with hardcovers. It is hard to hold the book up in the air for too long when you read it. Like, I find it hard to read hardcovers because I am used to the habit of reading book while I go to bed. With these as the problems that we majorly find we might also have personalized trouble. They are expensive when they are being shipped or sent over to someone. So we definitely know, it’s going to take longer.ģ. They hardcovers include a dust cover as well. Hardcovers are super heavy and are really hard to carry, especially if you’re traveling and used to the habit of reading while you commute to your school, college or workplace.Ģ. They might be a little disadvantageous when it comes to sales.ġ. As paperbacks are less expensive they need to be sold many in numbers. Paperbacks can have theirs covers damaged easily. I am not much of a collector, but I am pretty sure it is of much higher value to people who collect books.Ĭoming to the downside of each of these, let’s start with paperbacks.ġ. Come on, we all know how hard it is to get paperbacks to stand vertically.ĥ. A bunch of hardcovers can make a beautiful stack of books to photograph the spines of the books. They make your book photographs ten times beautiful.Ĥ. The book jackets are usually printed with such intricacy that it’s so hard to take your eyes away from it.ģ. Yes, we do choose hardcovers because they are more durable as they have a double cover.Ģ. The paperbacks are much liable when it has to be couriered to a friend as their gift. Easier for sending over to someone else as a courier. It is easier to shift positions while reading a paperback.Ĥ. They are flexible, they can be flexed in a comfortable position while reading. And as an addition to a to- be-read list that grows forever, cost-effective books increase the number. They are much cost- effective than hardcovers. They are not so heavy in a tote full of others stuff in it.Ģ. Paperbacks are easier to be carried around. Well, at some point we pick both but here are reasons when I choose paperbacks vs hardcovers.ġ. But then, we are little biased when it comes to picking our books, aren’t we? We have the massive “discrimination” and debates between paperback vs hardcover. We love books so much, sometimes, even more than people. Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by on my blog once again.
